There must be something about the black person that makes whites’ blood pressure shoot up – but not in physical fear as has been portrayed, but as in the fear of replacement. That fear of replacement by another group was in full display during the 2017 “Unite the Right” rally that was organized by and intended for white supremacists and white nationalists.
The chanting of “Jews will not replace us” was a decoy. Whites have absolutely no fear of being replaced by Jews because the latter prioritizes business dominance over political involvement. Furthermore, Jews have had considerable controlling hold on many major businesses spanning a number of sectors but have not made any attempts at visible political participation.
Members of the Asian community are still tied at the hip to their respective countries of origin and thus have had sparse political ambition in the United States save for a few bright spots mostly at the local government levels. Although they perform slightly higher on the economic ladder than other ethnic groups, their 5.6% proportion of the United States population does not give them much political pull.
Hispanics have largely been a community of their own having insisted on maintaining their linguistic heritage. They have not placed a higher enough priority on integration to be able to muster a political force of any reckon. As a result, they have yet to mobilize their community into a political force despite representing the largest non-white ethnic group at 18% of the population.
And with the Native American Indian having been replaced and now constituting just 0.9% of the American population, the African American community and the threat he poses become a force difficult to ignore.
At 13% of the population, this group has not only been able to break the white male dominance in the Oval Office, it now constitutes the largest single voting block of the Democratic party, which is the larger of the two main political parties in America.
To boost their threat potential, blacks are increasingly taking education seriously. According to the U.S census about 43.8 percent of African immigrants achieved the most college degrees, compared to 42.5 percent of Asian-Americans, 28.9 percent for immigrants from Europe, Russia and Canada and 23.1 percent of the U.S. population as a whole.
Along with education comes competition for good jobs, political participation, and overall increased social awareness. That’s why despite constituting 13% of the population, the Congressional Black Caucus is the largest non-white coalition on Capitol Hill.
Thus, while some would posit that discrimination against blacks and other ethnic minorities is borne out of supremacy beliefs, the fact is that it is a matter of survival for white people to prevent at all cost their replacement in the political arena by blacks. In fact, evidence abounds proving that in any racial group there is the good, the bad, and the downright ugly, which renders the notion of superiority nonsensical.
How can a white child continue to believe stories preaching other races as inferior after he or she has sat in classrooms where members of other racial groups are smoking him or her academically? How can you expect a white child to continue to believe he is superior when the girl who helped him navigate through difficulties on his mobile device is Asian, and the boy who solved that perplexing algebra question is black?
Therefore, the open attacks by whites on minorities are a result of a genuine fear of being replaced. At 62.5% of the population and dropping, it is just a matter of time before all minorities combined will become the numerical majority in America. And some whites want to prevent this scenario from occurring at all cost for fear of retribution.
And that misses the point on so many counts.
First, it is highly unlikely and virtually impossible for all other non-white groups to band together to victimize whites. In a boardroom where no one entity has a controlling majority, fairness prevails because no hidden agendas can see the light of day as all parties have to work together for a common cause.
Second, blacks happen to be the most forgiven ethnic groups among all the others. White anti-racism Activist Jane Elliot was apt when said “I don’t know how black people can stand the sight of us.” But One social narrator placed it best when she said, “blacks are fighting for equality and not revenge,” clearly referring to the atrocious history of enslavement by whites.
Consequently in the event that whites lose their numerical majority, not only would they have no reasonable fear of black retribution, they can actually manage that by setting the stage NOW for open and fair participation by all parties around the boardroom table.
Third, whites’ worry about black dominance is unsupported by birth rate trends. On average a black woman will have 1.792 children, which is roughly the same as the 1.729 children for all American women. Hispanic women on the other hand average 1.959 children to pad onto their already fastest growing ethnic population.
From this trend, Hispanics rather are more likely to dominate the population numbers in the United States. But unlike blacks, their trends in education and political participation poses no immediate threat to whites in the area of corporate and political competition.
So the fear of black people these days is no longer that the men will mug us; it is no longer that the women (whom President Ronald Reagan called the “Welfare Queen”) would just sit at home and have a dozen children; and it is certainly no longer that they are somehow inferior. The fear is of competition, and it is real.
