The Berlinda Babila Foundation has reported that the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is planning to deport 48 Cameroonians tomorrow the 10th of November from the fort Worth Airport in Texas.
Dr. Berlinda Babila further announced that different human rights organizations have planned the protest march and she is trying to mobilize Cameroonians in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to come and participate.
A planned vigil tonight has been cancelled, but the protest march is definitely taking place tomorrow.
Dr. Babila is urging members of the Cameroonian community to call their various congressmen and women in a last ditch effort to save the assigned deportees.
Asked if calls to congressmen and women would make any difference, Dr. Babila said “it made a difference the last time. Our calls saved 28 people from deportation last October 14 this year so, yes, calls can make a difference,” she added.
